I am not losing weight

    I started dieting on an 800 calorie diet for 3-4 weeks, I've managed to lose 20 lbs (im now 201-203 lbs from 224)
    I gained 80lbs from depression/anxiety in 1 year (yes, i know.)
    I drink diet soda and reset my 800 calories at 6 PM every day never going over that limit
    I checked myself in the scale yesterday and I weighed 200.96 pounds, now today I weigh 203 pounds. The first week I lost 10 lbs and 3 the following 2-3 weeks. (the problem is i am not losing weight)
    I need to lose this weight.
    pls help me

    Stop weighing yourself more than once per week. If you weigh every day you will get discouraged. Your body can fluctuate from day to day based on fluid retention. You may lose some fat and weigh more on the scale based simply on how hydrated you are.

    I think you need to eat more than 800 calories too. You are going to put your body in starvation mode and it will be hard to lose weight. Go up to at least 1200.

    Main thing is you need to accept that it is going to take a good while to lose all the weight. If you are losing more than one or two pounds per week then you are doing it too fast and will put it back on as quickly as you are taking it off.

    I have learned all this the hard way. I am down 40 pounds from my weight when I first posted in this thread. I still have a way to go but I will get there eventually. What difference does it really make if you lose it in two months or six months as long as you lose it?

    I have used the weigh watchers point system to lose weight. Even though my portions were smaller, I was eating more food---if that makes sense. At the same time I incorporated some exercise to help. I've lost 30 pounds and have not gained any back. I'm going back on the point system to lose another 30 in the next 6 months. I know people put weight watchers down but it does works for some of us and I"m one of them.
