I seem to recall Tebow taking Denver to the play-offs despite himself. He may or may not have been the worst QB in the league, but he was definitely the luckiest.

I must have missed some of the highlights of Tebow kicking FG's and playing Defense...

Tebow was the worst QB in the league, but you're saying Fox won thanks to Tebow, not Fox won despite having Tebow?

ok... but everyone in this whole discussion is still losing while Fox continues to win games

And he's going to kick some more ass when he comes to Charlotte, without Hurney and without Tebow

Teams tebow/Fox beat on the way to the playoffs:
    Fins
    Raiders
    Chiefs
    Jets
    Chargers
    Vikings
    Bears (without White Cutler)

This isn't exactly murderer's row, and Fox was always pretty good against easy schedules.

You know, this was a Hurney fired thread not that long ago. I'm guilty as anyone, but we should take this shit somewhere else.

Did you see Curtis Painter play last year? or Blaine Gabbert? Worst throwing ability as a qb...I can easily see that, but his ability to run made him a tough qb to face. I imagine if he'd have been there this year, a lot of defenses would've adjusted better in the 2nd year, but at least last year that drastically different style gave teams fits.

Foxy is still fresh in Denver. He was fresh here his early years.

But he finished awefully stale here and the same will happen in Denver.

But if we still had Foxy I imagine we wouldnt have Cam either. We'd have added Von Miller instead. Whether that would have been enough to get us out of the Luck/RGIII sweepstakes in another issue.

No way Peyton would have signed for him in Carolina either.

If we end up with the top pick next year we badly need a Skins/Rams blockbuster trade.

I'd buy that. The weird thing wasn't the awful completion percentage, it was that a lot of the option reads weren't good. I didn't think that was possible from an experienced option guy but teams gave Cam some odd looks to get him to read badly at times too this year so far. But, either way, credit to both to finding a way to win, and credit to Denver to be smart enough to get out from under it, too.

There was also an element of luck to Denver's season that shouldn't be credited to either Fox or Tebow. They were a couple of freak plays away from being 6-10 or 5-11.
