    first off..... neat.

as far as going forward, two questions come to mind that will go a long way (in my mind) in determining what direction the team goes next.

and maybe this will seem cold... but...

1.) does Richardson want to make one more stab at seeing his team win? if so.. I see a Cowher type hiring.

2.) does Richardson want to set this team up for the long term? then open the flood gates on speculation and name dropping...

I'm pretty conservative about this stuff. I don't declare the season over three weeks in and I don't fire people after six games, but without really thinking about Hurney yesterday, there were as many moments where I was OK with not having Ron Rivera as anything else.

I love the approach of this coaching staff but the execution is awful. And I don't feel like things are moving forward. Last year, you could directly point to the 6 wins plus three more surrendered because of special teams, at the very very least. That feels OK. That makes you think you're moving somewhere. This, this kinda sucks.

But, like anything else, it really matters more what you do with it, than that you dance on graves and magically think it's all going to be OK. I'm not convinced of that.

Yea, losing Hurney doesn't make us competitive or consistent. Don't disagree with the move, but we're not suddenly fixed.

depends of how you're defining "fixed"

they're not winning this year, nor probably next, but getting the right GM in here could be the first step in getting this mess "fixed" down the road.

It's all big picture. There's hope that we can finally have some stable infrastructure. Doesn't mean it will definitely happen, but it was never going to happen under current management.

This is why you're such a nuisance to the board, because you're not only belligerent but you lack even the basic intellectual function necessary to have an argument. Your tiny brain can't comprehend that I didn't dispute Mangini being a hardass, nor that I proved you unquestionably wrong about your assertion that his teams wore down during the season. The facts show that Mangini's teams actually got better as the season went along and usually finished strong. I'm also amused that you bitch constantly about things like poor tackling and then think it's outrageous for a coach to run hard practices. Personally I like that he's a hardass, as this team could definitely use it, but I've also stated that I believe time away from the game has probably matured him and that he would find a better balance with his next coaching position.

You embarrass yourself when you let your wounded pride cause you to lash out at me like this. Mangini had winning seasons in two out of his five years and is obviously a very competent coach. It's fine if you don't want him, just as magnus doesn't, but calling the suggestion "retarded" only succeeds in making that description apply to you.

I have to say, I'm not comfortable at all with Mangini or any other Pats offspring.
