    Houston Astros All-Star outfielder Hunter Pence appears to be headed to Philadelphia, tweets FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal, and his colleague Jon Morosi tweets that both Jonathan Singleton and Jarred Cosart are included in the deal for Pence, according to a source.

    Rosenthal adds that the Astros will also get two players to be named later that are not considered top prospects.

    Just seconds after FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal tweeted earlier Friday that the Phillies and Astros were progressing toward a deal for Pence, ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney tweeted (literally, 22 seconds later) that the Braves are looking to get creative to make a big push for the all-star right fielder. That appears to have been a fruitless venture.

    The Phillies, if the deal becomes official, could mix up their outfield some, but figure to insert Pence in right field on an everyday basis and use rookie Domonic Brown in left field, and to spell Pence on occasion, likely versus right-handed pitchers.

    Pence could fit well behind Ryan Howard in the batting order, giving the club another right-handed stick to drive in runs to complement Utley and Howard, both lefties.

    Pence is a good talent and should contribute right away to the Phils.
