I saw the previews for this before Avatar and have been hoping it would make it's way to Charlotte. It finally started last week, I'm going to see it this weekend.

Just a heads-up if anyone is interested. With Avatar getting re-released I don't think this movie is going to stay around long.

They took a 3D IMAX camera into space on the last Hubble repair mission, this is footage from that mission. It might be the closest thing most of us get to actually going into space. I cannot wait to see it. Only 45 minutes long so don't go on a lark cause it's pretty expensive for 45 min of entertainment. Probably only for the space junkies and IMAX fans.

Amazing movie, if you have the slightest interest in science, space or astronomy you should see this. It was only $10 so it wasn't full IMAX price (at least it was cheaper than Avatar.) Not sure how much longer it will be in town so you better see it soon if you're interested.

There were two shuttle launches and some amazing 3D Hubble photos where they take you 'inside' the photo and you can really get a sense of how massive and far away these objects are. It's not something that will look the same on the small screen, and I have two large HDTVs and a nice surround sound system. This is one movie best seen at the IMAX (which isn't really a real IMAX theater, wish this one was at Discovery Place but oh well.)
