I have a friend out here that is on Sprint and it's done fine. It use to be i could only use verizon to get coverage out here but we have a Sprint tower nearby now.
Now you have me wondering how Sprint will do out at the lake.

So, does the onscreen keyboard aggravate? This girl told me not to get the touch screen qwertyboard but the hero has so many other cool features.

I have the Hero and love it still, coverage is fine and I've had it in some pretty out there areas... Sprint is great, but I wouldn't get this phone again just because the camera takes horrible pictures. That's my only complaint about the phone. The apps work great, internet is fast, and all of that...

Best Buy has a 30 day return and they are the best to deal with and give you rebates upfront rather than having to wait in the mail for it... so definately work with them on it. The Samsungs I've had were not so good. I wouldn't get another Samsung.

I just got the hero. I went to BestBuy to just get a feel for the phone and told the sales lady the deal they had online and she said she could match it, plus she waived the activation fee. Had a problem when it wouldn't let her override the price and she went to get the manager and he said he wouldn't match the online price.
So, i told her that would've been fine, i would of just gone home and ordered them online but she had already deactivated my verizon account. I told her to get the manager. He was the geekiest lookin thing. He was pissed off about it, but he matched the online price. Idk what his problem was, she said he matched an online item before.
So, now i'm playing with it and trying to figure it all out.

I thought it would have a great camera on it cause it's 5 megapix.

yeah, i checked the camera out some and i see what you're saying about getting one in focus.
I calibrated the qwerty keyboard and i'm getting hardly any mistakes now.

Guess i'm going to have to pull out the owner's manual...i can't figure out how to edit phone contacts info. :thud:

so far it's a sweet little phone!

Market app has all the droid downloads, my favorites are Shazam, Movies, and Places Directory. I use the google voice search a lot, and when the search comes up, you can touch the phone number to call or get directions through google maps or spints gps...

in settings, you can create different personalized screens and customize where your icons are

picture frame, directv, and color flashlight are also cool apps... I even have a Texas Holdem app that logs in online and you play other people, I was at a table once with people in london, oklahoma and michigan...

the gmail and google talk sync flawlessly, and anyone who's phone number you have with gmail or facebook it can automatically sync their profile picture to the phone

Plus you can text, email, search online, etc... while talking on the phone, or even conference an incoming call very easily... it's so much like a computer, I am surprised it is not a video phone already

it is a very cool phone, I like it better than the iPhone or Blackberry... if it would just take decent pictures!

I was getting ready to make a thread on what apps people have downloaded.

The only thing i've added so far is Android task killer and super yahtzee. Going to add Pandora and maybe check out that barcode one and a few others. I came close to doing the fart one. lol

Just so much you can do with this phone! The Gps on it is killer. I played around with that last night as i drove to my brothers. Then i used the camera to take some pics of his pet deer. You just have to stay really steady when takin the picture and with it being touch pad, the phone is so sensitive so it can be aggravating cause you touch stuff you didn't want.

I just need to find a good style case for it so i don't fuck it up. The ones i seen are the skins which still leave the screen unprotected in your pocket. Then they have cases for them but it would take you two minutes to pull it out of one of those just to answer the phone.
