I accidently lost 5 lbs in the past week and a half. I attribute it to the fact that I've been happier and busier than before. I tend to eat more (and fattier foods) when I'm bored or unhappy.

i hear that being in love can do that -- losing weight, i mean. :)

you're so right about the borde/unhappy part. food fills the void.

i say those things to myself, so i don't mind sharing them.

i just have to make the right decisions in the beginning and, before long, i won't have to make them at all -- it will be that easy.

we all need to just retrain our mind.

Don't feel bad LadyJane. I too fell off the wagon for 3 1/2 days when I was in NC. I had what I wanted and now I don't want it at all. Since I feel like I was in a routine here at home on the diet, it was easy to get back onto it.

I'd feel a lot better if the weight would come off faster. :( I did better on WW, and I could eat anything I wanted. Some days are more discouraging than others, and I guess today is one of them. Tomorrow's a new day :)

You're absolutely right. Tomorrow IS a new day!!! I think I was having "one of those days" yesterday even after I found out the news of the 30 lbs. It's amazing what hanging out with the tbr people last night until late did to get me out of my funk!

i am doing ok. i weigh in tomorrow. i wanna do it every week on a sunday. i am running myself ragged babysitting a house and then go home to do mine. i know i lost inches this past two weeks...i will know how much tomorrow.

on my way to work last week, i heard over the radio this one fitness guru was saying that calcium pills help ones metabolism. i think he might be right. didnt look it up. i take calcium gluconate and plain calcium. gluconate is good. it was prescribed to me some years ago. i bet this makes a diff. i also take a diuretic which helps in my water retention problem. i should be good and ready for thanksgiving, larry. and i will be toned and slim by xmas, i hope.
