Would love to see this guy stay injury free another ten years. He'll be up there with Ruth, Williams, Gehrig, Bonds, as putting up some of the greatest career offensive numbers of all time.

The part I love about him the most: 10th in acitve players for strikeouts per at bat. In this free swinging era, he's the only non slap hitter that high up. I like Ryan Howard, but I dont' ever see him hitting .340 and striking out less than 80 times. I forgot, Albert has also won a Gold Glove.

He should replace Stan Musial and Rogers Hornsby as the greatest Cardinal ever.

First, I don't think anyone is ever replacing Musial as most beloved Cardinal, but I couldn't agree with you more about how awesome it is to see a player of Pujols' talent not give away a ton of at-bats via strikeout. The guy is amazing, although I have a lot of suspicions about steroid use. Clearly he has incredible skill regardless of what he may or may not be taking, but I find it hard to believe that someone in this era who is that muscular is not on something. Until something is proven, though, I agree with you that he has a chance to end up top 10 of all-time if he does manage to stay healthy. I was glad to hear that they were able to fix his elbow issue supposedly in time for him to be back for spring training, although some of that has to do with him being a keeper on one of my fantasy baseball teams.

Well said Collin! Pujols is the one guy that I love to watch play the game! If I was starting a franchise and had the number one pick, it would be him! Should be fun to watch for the coming decade!

The saddest part of the "Steroids Era" is that any player who puts up great stats over the last 10 years or so always has the taint whether they did or didn't do it. That said, Pujols is a monster.

I don't have a lot of sympathy on that count because the players who aren't using have done little about the players who are. That said, you can get a pretty good guess about who is and who isn't based on body type. Someone as massive as Pujols is almost certainly juicing, but you're right that we don't have any credible evidence to support such a suspicion.
