Contract about a quarter of the league.

Cut the season down to about 50 games.

Put all league revenues into one pot. Divide it equally among all teams. Each team puts half the revenues into player salaries. The cap is hard and cannot be exceeded.

Fire all the refs and bring in experienced college refs to replace them. Instruct them to call it equally for everyone including the superstars.

Reduce the number of teams to make the playoffs and shorten the first round back to five games.

Force players to share endorsement revenues with the league.

Allow teams to designate a franchise player, similar to the NFL system, where a star player like Lebron can't leave his team without that team getting compensated well.

Change the rules to encourage more team play and less one on one. Basically model the league after college basketball when it comes to the rules.

Shorten the length of the games, players do not play hard most games until there are about 5 minutes to go anyway.

Max contract length 3 years. Saves owners from being complete idiots. Wait a second. Who cares it's the NBA

That is a good idea too. They need eliminate the "dead money" concept.

They need more focus on the teams and less on the individual players. Be a fan of the Heat not a fan of Lebron, etc.

I'd LOVE to see contract slots for teams. One player makes say 20 mil, the next 18, the next 15 or so. If say Labron wants to player with Wade and Miami only had a 12 million dollar slot available then lets see how bad he wants to take his talents to south beach. Put in escalators that gives them 25% more the next year but still hold them at 3 years max. Never happen but whatever

how about instead you just quit watching the games? Also, it's good to see that your all for forced wealth sharing as long as it's for your amusement.

That works, plus it will be easier to do since the league has imploded on itself.

Not sure if a quarter is necessary, but cutting some teams out may be a good idea

Not sure if 50 is the number. I'm thinking 60 something, but it needs to be shortened from 82

I agree with revenue sharing. Maybe not 100% equal. When its 100% equal some owners slack off to increase their own profit. Maybe instituting a minimum salary cap to go along with a max would help this, but they'd need to be similar numbers. I agree a hard cap is necessary. Only exception would be I'd keep the Bird rule, but it would ONLY apply to players drafted by your team, and could only be used a limited amount of time over so many years. Similar to a franchise tag.

hard cap, hard cap, hard cap. (there already is a min cap). keep teams from buying players by going over the cap with luxury tax. that is the number one reason why big market teams thrive. you cant have 6 good teams and 24 farm teams. keep the league from turning into MLB.

hard cap also would make owners spend wisely. no more giving joe johnson 120 because they can overspend(bird rule) and because they feel they have to overspend to keep up with LA, Dallas, etc. if the lakers want to pay Kobe 20 million, that's fine, but don't pay luke walton 5.6 million. dont pay steve blake 4 mil.

or in Charlotte, diop doesn't make 7 mil and matt carroll 4 mil.

broken business model that needs to be fixed. hard cap works for the NFL, why not NBA?
