I did and still do support him on the war. I think being aggressive and taking the fight to the homelands of the terrorists was the right move. Even if Iraq had no WMDs they needed to be taken out. Daddy Bush should have finished the job in 1991. The surge should have been the strategy from day one though.

I supported his domestic policy on tax cuts and I like the judges he put on the USSC. Many other domestic things I kind of tolerated at best. His unwillingness to do anything on illegal immigration was troubling. His willingness to spend lots of money expanding social programs was a problem for me too. These bailouts have really been a big let down for me. A republican president should not be pushing for this kind of stuff.

We are never going to agree on social issues but if you do agree with fiscal conservatism I do not see how you can support Obama. He seems to be the opposite of that stand. His plans for higher taxes and universal healthcare are prime examples of tax and spend philosophy.

That's because not all of us get our sense of reality from winger fearmongerers. There is no evidence that Obama is a socialist, a muslim, an America-hater, or the anti-Christ. In fact, he is more of a Christian than the man you voted for, not that that matters in the least to me. The bottomline for me is that he seems the most honest of the bunch and he most likely will slow down our descent into the toilet, which your party had put us into warp speed for. Basically, he is the best man to clean up the messes the Republicans made in the past 10 years and Sarah Palin was a fine example of another disaster in the making.

And the picking of his cabinet with a bunch of hawk-leaning centrists is further proof that all your perceptions about him have been wrong from the beginning.

I hope you are right on this but I do not see where you are drawing this conclusion from. I have not heard him espouse any positions that could be called fiscally conservative. Other than the feel good stuff like "he is more honest" what makes you think he will do a better job. Everything he talks about calls for a lot of new spending. How will he do this without running the deficit up or raising taxes?

I sort of get the idea that he is going to be a bit of a figurehead more than a nuts and bolts guy. He certainly has not been very assertive so far or offered much input on the auto bailout.

They already are and it's going to get worse. Past dues jumped quite a bit percentage wise in the third quarter.

My Bank of America card payment was due on the 8th this month. I had online banking mail it on the 4th. It posted on the 10th. That caused me to get a $39 fee for being late which pushed me over the limit resulting in a $39 over the limit fee. I hope banks lose their shirts on credit cards....

If you have BofA online banking why not just transfer money from a checking account to the credit card to make your payment? It posts when you do the transfer. No need to play the late fee game.

I do not have checking at BOA. You have to have a checking account with BOA to do electronic transfsers. All my other cards will let me do an electronic transfer from my credit union account.

Gotcha. Maybe a checking acct at BofA wouldn't be a bad idea. At least you wouldn't have to worry about credit card late fees anymore unless you were just really late to begin with. BTW, I do not work for BofA.

Or. Could you not just get a card from your CU and use their online banking? I'm assuming the CU has online banking and issues credit cards.

I am trying to payoff my credit cards so getting a new one is not appealing. Besides that there is no way the credit union would give me a credit card with a limit big enough to transfer the balance on the BOA card.
