How long Foster is our stater?

    Not necessarily. There is another $3 million in escalators and/or incentives in that contract. If it is primarily in the form of salary escalators, then his remaining hit were he to be cut would be as stated but if it is in the form of a standard performance bonus it will cut into the "savings".

    EDIT We would save money but not necessarily a lot in 07.

    If Foster was making less than $2.5 million a year, I'd be fine with keeping him around forever.

    I'm sure he would be fine with contually renegotiating his deal to keep his "salary" less than $2.5 million. Not a very good compromise though is it?

    Unless disaster strikes our RB corps (which is definitely possible), Goings probably won't see 30 touches this year. He'll be mainly special teams.

    I'm sure every person here wouldn't mind it if we only needed Goings to have about 30 touches this season . . . and in mop-up duty.)

    No guarantees on Williams yet but I do think he is the best running back prospect we have ever drafted.
