Wow. I can definitely see why you're thinking it might've been a vision!

Whatever it was, I don't believe it came from God. Maybe it was a vision, but what you need to keep in mind is that visions tend to be very symbolic in nature, making interpretation a sketchy process at best. It feels to me like an end-of-the-world scenario, but as uneasy as that's probably making you feel, I'd recommend trying not to worry about it.

Its just been kinda churning at me all day. I figured it'd be better to find out rather than running around like a lunatic saying the end of the world is coming.

Completely understandable. Seeing something like that -- conscious or unconscious -- hits pretty close to home. That uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach might linger a while.

Unfortunately the same can be said for a lot of insane people :sadbanana:

I don't doubt that people do still have visions. I just don't have a clue how either they or the people around them can distinguish them from fantasy.

Would an Algernon reference be considered sniping here? :)

Visions happen while you are awake and you're eyes can be opened or shut, dreams happen while you're asleep and therefore are harder to distinquish if it's from God or not.

True, but there's a litmus test -- the God of the Bible is consistent with the Bible's lessons and doctrine.

I personally believe that God does not use visions to speak to people any more. He did that back in the old days but now we have the whole bible and it is easily obtained by anyone who wants one. God speaks through it now.
