How do I know if my toe is broken?

    Recently I slammed my toe on a trampoline ..
    Lots of people say how badly there foot bruises and it swells.. Mine big toe has some serious swelling but there's no much else.. I went and played basketball on it all night tonight it hurt pretty bad but I was able to play through it .. It's hurting pretty bad know its still very swollen and stings when I walk ..
    Could it be broken?? If not what else might it be ?[​IMG]
