    Exactly! So Chipshot agrees!

    :satana:

Maybe the NBA should wear nice hats and long sleeves??

Nah. I would go with live airbrushing - like a tanning booth. You could have the players get sprayed before going onto the court. And I figure it's cheaper than doing it electronically like SI did for the Iverson cover.

    :agreed:

    That would help...

Now about the banning and fines...that's the cornerstone of the plan. Oh...and limiting dunks.

The NBA of the 60's and 70's had some great teams and players, but was dismissed as a major sport. Heck, they televised the NBA finals on tape delay. Then the 70's brought drugs to the league...most of the players were black (corporate sponsors were scared of them) and the majority of teams were losing money.

In came David Stern, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson...then Michael Jordan. The players were all recognizable based on playing (at least most of them) 3+ years of college. They loved the game, they loved the league and they loved their fans.

Now, they have 'tudes...don't care about the fans...flip off the sponsors and enjoy their "I got mine".

Although there are some fan friendly players, most of them are called "sell outs" or "Uncle Tom's" and get no props from their peers or the true NBA fan (The young black kids who can't afford to go to the games).

The sport has some major problems; many self inflicted. But I believe the major problem was the decision to market the players vs the team causing individulism, selfishness and lack of chemistry. There are very few teams that display sacrifice, teamwork and chemistry and the very few that do are the successful ones.

Will they overcome their problems? The TV ratings suggest..no

Oh...it's a shit league. Some of the trashiest people in the country make up the NBA.

Stockton was good. Steve Nash is good. Ostertag? Sure! I'll even take Adam Morrison if he gets rid of the molester mustache.

Put my plan in place...to the T...and you'll see an improved NBA.

I'm glad the NBA doesn't try to appeal to bigoted fools like freakshow.

The game is not interesting. It has nothing to do with arrests and thugs and tatoos.

Who cares to see Kobe shoot the ball 90 times while the other four guys check their phone messages. And the trading is out of control. You make 10 trades in football no one notices. Do that in basketball and you are the Dallas Mavericks.
