    I remember years ago when the NBA was taken seriously. Good athletes. Good games. Good entertainment. Now????

    Where did it go wrong? How did such a large proportion of the league come from such a scummy part of humanity?

    What I would do...

    You must not only attend college...but graduate
    2 dunks per team per game allowed.
    No visible tattoos allowed.
    No cornrows...period (afros are funny, so I'd allow them)
    If you are ever arrested, you are banned for life
    If you are seen in a strip club...1/2 year's salary fine
    If you are seen with any rappers or a "posse" 1'2 year's salary fine

    In 3 years the league would no longer resemble your local prison yard...but an actual group of dedicated and talented athletes.

    people screw up and deserve a second chance. People dont get fired from their jobs so why should pro athletes? More than once? sure, but not the first time.

    Tough shit. Most people don't make millions for playing a game either. Seeing as how they are public figures...they need to be held to higher standards than the masses.

    A couple of foul calls irked me in the Finals (See Czaban and conspiracy theories), but for the most part the NBA playoffs had great athletes, great games, and great entertainment this year. Just what you wanted.

    The rest of the stuff you mention is crap. The NFL is just as bad if not worse. They just have the luxury of having a helmet over the cornrows and a uniform to cover the tats.
