David Stern said that when Crawford met with Stu Jackson, his attitude was "yeah I did it and I'll do it again if I get the chance." Not much you can do other than suspend him. This probably will be the end of his career.

this whole story is like watching the telephone game unfold before your eyes.

duncan says the guy asked if he (duncan) wanted to fight? "you wanna fight? you wanna fight?" the commentary has turned it into the guy asking duncan to step outside and fight. meaning a literal fist fight -- what idiot would actually want to get in a fist fight with a 7' pro athlete?

the guy has a notoriously short fuse and felt that duncan was mocking him. i've seen guys get techs because the ref thought they were being mocked after having an exchange earlier. maybe he was wrong, but i honestly liked the zero tolerance arguing rules they instituted earlier. too bad everybody complained and they stopped calling em. if it was a bad call, so be it. bad calls are part of the game.

if you watch old nba games from before the 80's, NOBODY argues calls. it's way more enjoyable that all the sour faces and griping that goes on today.

it wasn't fouls to argue in the 80's when every foul was a fist to the face.

The nobody argued calls in the 80's line is bullshit. Ainge made a career out of it. Magic leaned up to "chat" with officials all the time. All the Pistons whined. See Sleestak Laimbeer.

Maybe he was wrong? How about he'd better be 100% sure before ejecting a player - even if it ain't Duncan - based on his suspicions? Zero tolerance rules are fine. But if you are gonna do that, then you absolutely, positively cannot then let the refs continue to goad the players and/or toss them for the hell of it.

Fuck him. He's not bigger than the game.

Well, the players and coaches have done a pretty good job of fucking it up so far.
