What parts do they need a handyman for? From what I can tell, most houses could use a handyman. When they SAY handyman's special, that usually means there's something about it that's REALLY fucked up or there's something that makes it so it can't be easily financed.

Looks mighty good, a good buy. I'd shy away from two stories because of heating and I'm a family of one + pets, although I need a lot of space.

[Am looking for a two or three br, one bath, two outbuildings(40 sq.ft shop and barn), carport or garage, on one or two acres in Burke, McDowell or Rutherford county.:)]

it is the right house. it isn't in the ghetto. it needs the soffit corners repaired, it needs the windows re glazed, carpet and flooring and paint and landscaping. it is mechanically sound and has a good roof.

i am selling it because it the last remnant of my old marriage. we bought it as a fixer up, did enough to move in but she left the weekend we were to move. i could not afford it so i did a rent to buy. the renters decided they weren't going to buy and i want out.

If I was in CLT I'd seriously consider it.

Throw a few bucks in it, provide a "carpet allowance" and sell it for full price without calling it a "handyman's special". If what you're saying is all it needs, it's not really a handyman's special IMO, but the term will scare people off.

I really love that house! I agree with Sadic...it may need attention, but they're more cosmetic things than massive re-builds. Good luck Mr J :).
