    you can't speak with free agents until july and you can't sign them until a couple weeks after that.

    edit: i must be living in a bubble -- didn't realize it's july already. :thud:

    Well, he probably wanted to get paid and realized nobody else would give him that much.

    Plus, the guy cracks under pressure. No pressure playing for the Hornets, nothing is expected of them. It's a good situation for him heh.

    i'm guessing it's more to play under byron scott and to get back into a system he does well in (the princeton offense). also, the as much as people here hate the hornets, they have done pretty well under scott. and chris paul is a nice guy to be playing next to.

    max money, tho? that's a bit much. of course, that's just what it takes to get top free agents. heck, even mediocre ones command some pretty sick money.
