That would actually cause him a pulled muscle in his neck, landing him on the injured list once again

Trade Lamelo Ball for #3 pick and get Scoot and Miller

They know what they have with all star Ball. They don't know how Henderson or Miller will pan out.
Replacing Ball won't be as easy as the Panthers inserting RB talent for CMC.
With Ball being injured quite a bit it has been easy to see what he means as one of the five on the court. They had no suitable replacement and could not find one in their search.
Trading your one and only star and fan draw in a small market NBA town is a tanking move.

I don't think he will stay anyway, so get both Miller and Scoot.

He cannot stay healthy as it is and is bound for the West Coast sooner or later

There is a top tier in Wemby
A second tier in Scoot and Miller, then it drops off after that

Very few players do stay for a team for any extended period.
The Tim Duncan type stories are as rare as hen's teeth.

LaMelo Ball has signed a five-year contract extension with the Charlotte Hornets, according to NBA insider Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.

The extension is worth up to $260 million. Ball would have become a restricted free agent in the summer of 2024 if he and the Hornets didn’t agree to an extension.

So I watched the Bridges return to Charlotte presser today. He pretty much said what he needed to say, but they kept asking him questions about the therapy he was in and that ain't no body's business.
He just said he will continue to try to improve as a man. He said he has a good relationship with his kids, but did not mention the mother.
