hayward will prolly have a good season on a meh team. seems like he's not good enough to be good on a good team.

Playing like a rook trying to fit in. He'll be given some minutes to acclimate to the NBA, but probably won't be relied on as much as picks 1 and 2 in the draft.

they do seem to have a lot of guards. okc had an amazing three guard lineup that was killing it last year. maybe the hornets will play around with something similar. okc's guards were prolly a different level than what the hornets have going, but three playmakers who could also get their own shot was pretty amazing to watch. dunno if ball has the outside game for that to really work. did rozier lose the pg cuz he sucks or is graham really that good?

Rozier and Graham both had above average years for them last year. I think in a ideal world the team would prefer to let Graham score and Rozier facilitate.
The team knows what Rozier and Graham can be. They both had good numbers last year.
Hayward is more or less a calming effect for when things start to unravel.
I personally want to see what the rookies bring in a game.

just saw kaminsky was waived by sacramento. how many high picks have the hornets had that have gone to shit? kemba is probably their only draft win. (i'm excluding the original hornets since that's kind of a different franchise, really).

mkg never did anything. adam morrison? sean may? okafor? these guys are pretty much straight up busts. zeller and biyombo aren't going to live up to going as high as they did, but at least they're still in the league.

Yep, some pretty bad choices in there, but in all fairness...
... with the suckiest record by far in the shortened season... They should have gotten the top pick. Which would have been Anthony Davis, but NO won the lottery and the hapless Hornets with the #2 choice MKG.
The Hornets fans knew they were cursed when you have like 7 wins in an abbreviated season and still can't get the top pick.
I guess it doesn't bode well for young LaMelo coming to Charlotte.
A lot of folks don't remember, but the Hornets actually drafted Kobe. The thing was that there was a pre-draft deal with the Lakers involving Vlade Divac. Divac played 2 seasons with Hornets and moved on and you know how Kobe ended up.
For things to be successful in a small market a lot of things have to fall into place for the franchise to be a winner and it has went the opposite for the Hornets a lot.

yeah, that was the old hornets tho (drafting kobe). i mean, they also had some nice picks back then (mourning, larry johnson), but the reality is that those hornets are now the new orleans pelicans. i don't get how that franchise's records suddenly switch over to the bobcats with a name change. it's not like they threw out the bobcats records.

and yeah, charlotte had some rough luck -- dwight howard or omeka okafor? christ paul or raymond felton? those were questions during those drafts. maybe not serious questions because the better player went first, but the other player followed on their heels like it was a toss up.
