    H Back

Okay, I'll ask...I've read all of the articles dealing with Mangum and Hoover and I still can't tell exactly where the H-back lines up and how that differs from a two tight end set with both on the same side. Anyone able to provide diagrams or detailed descriptions? I've even done a Google search and didn't find what we need.

It's like a flanker. Sorta like a TE, but back a few steps. Doesn't line up on the line

I was imaging there but I had it pegged between the TE and the OT. You have the TE on the other side. Are we talking a 3 point stance or as a WO?

If he's gonna draw more blocking assignments, I hope he's improved a bit.

To be honest, a flanker will move around a lot. Usually a stand up guy.

Often the H-back will line-up in a basic Power I, I or Pro type of set like a true FB. Then based on the call will motion into position off the line, but outside the tackle or wider.
Think of an H-back as a FB/TE, that is about the most simple way to look at it.

    What fly said.

  8. I say we morph the H-back into a true Wing-T offense.

Use our fat-butt OL's kick some ass this year.

Enough of this wimpy pass blocking swill...

Someone on the board had quoted who, in my opinion, was the greatest coach ever, Chaz Noll. "You have to be able to run the ball. You have to be able to stop the run".

    Four Super Bowl rings.

    I believe him.

    All hail, Emperor Chaz!
