Hoover UFA - correct?

    No doubt. Neither Mangum nor Hoover get punch, both are better on angles, both give effort, Hoover's actually somewhat worthwhile offensively. Get a good FB, use Hoover situationally.

    I'm for that, but I don't like defenses knowing what your going to do all the time just by the personel on the field. Atleast with Hoover on the field, you never know what we're doing with him. Use him situationally, they shut him down, and know it's a running play when we bring the "true FB" in.

    I'd rather have Hoover get better at playing a "true FB" position and then keep whatelse he brings to the field.

    Goal line weapon? He's a poor lead blocker so you must mean that he's racking up the TDs.

    Hoover has continued to improve, I see no reason to replace him til he levels off. I like the comparison to Christian, but Bob is lightyears ahead of Hoover in blocking ability.
    I'd have him work with the O-line coach some in the off season to improve his technique.
