What's the best? What tequila, mixes? And I like a margarita on the rocks with salt, no frozen or fruity flavored shit.

Hmmm, I'll have to try that...........but if you wanna go traditional domestic recipe........Two Fingers brand tequilla, excellent quality but not the overpriced stuff. Jose Cuervo margarita mix. If you want a 'real' margarita instead of the foo foo drink, go with a 2/3 cup mix to 1/3 cup tequilla.....throw a few ice cubes in the blender and blend it all up....pour it over the rocks.......but before you do, dip the top of your glass into some lemon juice and twist the lid of the glass into a tub of margarita salt......

,,,warning, if you find yourself telling someone "hey, I love you man, I really think you are my bestest friend",,,,,back away from the blender cuz that shit will make you feel real crappy the next morning......

Sauza silver tequila makes a good margarita. Gotta use the Cuervo margarita mix though. Splash of Grand Marnier. Lime. Rocks. Nothing better in the world, except pussy of course.

There are some good margarita mixes out there, but I like making them without a mix.

    For each:

1-1/2 oz.tequila (Jose Cuervo is great, but there are less expensive ones that are just fine)

    1/2 oz. triple sec
1-1/2 oz. sour mix (pre-made or recipe below)
    several dashes of lime juice

    Blend & pour over ice.

I just dip my glass in the margarita blend itself to make the salt stick.

    Sour mix:
    12 oz. lemon juice
    18 oz. distilled water
    1/4 cup refined sugar
    1 egg white

    Blend.

i call them low-rent margaritas. they aren't bad and are crazy easy to make.

    tequila.
    minute maid limeaid.

i prefer on the rocks to frozen.

mix to your preference. i tend to go heavy on the good stuff. no fooling around with sour mix. if you like triple sec especially and think it's just not the same without it, but don't want to buy triple sec just for a few drinks, try the cuervo oranjo tequila. tasty.

If I wanted a Slushie, I'd go to the corner store.

Pretty close to the same recipe I use. This weekend I bought a bottle of Petrone Gold and decided to throw away everything else and drink the tequila.

If you want to have a little fun, Jell-O is now making a Margaritta flavored Jell-0. A lot of Margarita Shooter recipes are on the web but most were posted before the new Jell-O was introduced. Try 8 Oz of Boiling Water, One pack of the Margarita Jell-O mix and 8 Oz of Tequilla (Jose Cuervo is OK for this). Pour into the shot glasses and chill. I recommend making a minimum of 200. Goes quick on the beach. They also have the Pina Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri.

    edit 8oz, not 12
