    I didn't know that they didn't publish numbers.

    But they sure sound good. I love my book shelf speakers, and like I said, they sound great. I guess the theory is you don't hear numbers, you read them.

    I heard that for each car that a Bose sound system goes into, they build it custom for that paticular car before they allow it to happen. Plus, you can never find "open box" Bose, they require all returned speakers to be sent back to Bose.

    well, this thread is definitely informative. in order to have a remarkable bachlorette pad, i gotta have a good sound system. this thread has given me a place to start.

    i know this guy who has mini-speakers attached to his wall in his apartment. i guess the wiring is behind the drywall? how is this actually done? and is it better to have whoever i buy this stuff from install it for me?

    Sure, but the only people who will install it are specialty stores. Best Buy, Circuit City and the like won't install. The other option is wireless speakers.
