He was the kinda old dude that if you accidentally looked at him wrong, he was in your face. He was about 5'4", built like a fire hydrant, long hair, beard, and Lennon glasses. Hated the piss out of black people, said they used to shoot the Mexican soldiers in Nam and blame it on crossfire. Wasn't real fond of whites, either.

He wound up finally getting so mad at me for something he misunderstood that he basically excommunicated me. But I got the salsa recipe!

If you bottled that shit, you could put the story on the label. Priss-ass bitches in Myers Park would eat it up.

His name was Angel Gomez, and he serviced refers. That's slang for 'refigerators'.

I take it he wasn't very high in the Mexican Mafia heirarchy.

tomatoes, jalapenos, salt....put in a blender....thats it. thats what you get when you go to almost any mex restaurant.

I make one, more like pico de gallo but its awesome

    diced tomatoes
diced onion about a 3-1 ratio of tom to onion
2-3 jalapenos diced and mostly deseeded
cilantro pretty good bit, just eye it till it looks right
    juice of one lime
    salt
splash of vinegar if you like

let that stuff sit in fridge at least two hours or longer and it tastes out of sight...put on flour shell with some grilled steak and cheese. Damn!
