Finally they dragged him and Jackson back to the court and had them calmed down - thats when the fat fucks decided to go out on the court and pretend to be tough guys.

 

seems like some are using the fan on the court as justification for his actions when that had not happened yet

If there is any blame to be laid here it starts with the fan that decided to toss the cup onto Artest's face.

I will even take the low road here ( since I am taking up for the thugs) and even defend Jackson - if you watch the tape - he ran in behind Artest and was trying to pull Artest off the other guy - tahst when some other punk runs in from the side and tosses another cup full of beer into Artest's face while he had about three people trying to pull him back - that drink toss was the one that set Jackson off.

the whole thing was just fucked up but I bet alot of the people around the country that are whining and crying about NBA "thugs" are the same ones that would run up and toss a drink into the crowd and run then yuck it up with their buddies.

The NBA is no longer marketed to your demographic. For your demographic, see the NFL. The worst bad boy in the NFL (TO) is a clean cut guy who does squat off the field, who is basically guilty of creative end zone celebrations. The NFL works on maintaining its image constantly. The NBA could give a fuck. This is the first time in a long time I've seen the NBA give a flip about something their players have done.

 

They just showed a clip on the news of a reporter going to the guys house that threw the first beer and started the whole thing - apparently Detroit identified him on the tape and has already banned the former season ticket holder from the arena for life - anyway after having a hard time getting the reporter to leave he opened the door and sicced his German Shepard on the reporter

unfortunately for him the dog just ran off in the other direction - how fitting that his dog is a big coward just like him.

the guy that threw the cup has a record a mile long - assault with intent to inflict bodily harm, three DUIS, a probation that prohibited him from drinking alcohol and they even have him on tape punching Artest from behind after he climbed into the stands
