i did the 4-minute HIIT thing walking, then sprinting.

my TEETH hurt afterward! it was 25 minutes ago and my heart is STILL pumping.

    holy crap!!!!!

    i hope this works.

    i went 30 seconds walking
    30 seconds sprinting
    30 seconds walking
    30 seconds sprinting
    35 seconds walking
    25 seconds sprinting
    35 seconds walking
    21 seconds sprinting

then my legs felt like jello and it was as if i was trying to gasp for air through a straw.

    holy crap!

Sounds awesome! Get ready for the endorphin rush!

There's a degree of cardio-vascular fitness that I'd want to achieve before doing HIIT-type training. In large part because one of my goals is to be healthier, and that means fitness is just as much a goal as losing weight. Need longer-term cardio than 4 minutes for that...

you burn more calories if you pace yourself and a steady heart rate for longer time than a faster heart rate for a short period of time. I would pace yourself a little bit more Larry. Thats your call though.

it says to do it three times a week. i'm thinking every other day. that ok, you think?

what i love is that it's so QUICK. how can something so fast be so good for you? where's the "gotcha!" part?

this is that HIIT thing. i read the webpage and decided to give it a try. the worst i'm out is 4-10 minutes a day, i figure.

i'm also going to be starting pilates next week. i'm really looking forward to that. i hear it's hard as hell to get the movements down. but i'm ready for something TOTALLY different. and yoga sounded to freaky.

Not always true, franchise. From what I read HIIT burns more calories than jogging in a shorter time span.

If you do it every other day that is fine, you can do cardio everyday if you want, just be sure to take 1 day per week and rest, recovery is the most important eliment to fitness.
