supposedly has better physics than half life 2. Too bad this game is now called duke nukem whenever..since it's been vaporware for years now. It's been in development for like 6 or 7 years...

    :wtf23:

I've even had friends that preordered this years ago.

yeah, i think i have a magazine from 99 with this shit as the feature. It was the quake engine version, before they got the unreal license. The movie they showed for E3 using the quake engine was pretty awesome, they should have just finished the game and made another sequel using the unreal tech, instead of fucking around with the same game so long. I think everytime a new shooter comes out, they try to add whatever cool feature is in the new game.

They could have put out DN4, 2 expansions and DN5 by now.

Saying your 10 year dev. time game has better physics than a 4 or 5 year dev. time game is really bragging about a lot. :wtf23:

yeah there are sites with history timelines with this shit. Stuff like..

The rovers Spirit and Opportunity were proposed, authorized, announced, designed, launched and successfully landed upon Mars within the timeframe of Duke Nukem Forever's development.

I seriously wonder what happened to all the people that preordered this. I'm sure hearing about this game makes them remember they spent money on it 4 or 5 years ago. I also wonder at what time a game like this begins to become unprofitable to keep developing like this.

yeah, you'd have to think that paying a team this long with no revenue would take its toll, unless they're selling other games to subsidize it. I don't know that they could even make enough money just with a PC version. They should work out something and have it as a launch title on the xbox2 or ps3.

    vaporware. Who cares now anyway?

What was that other stinker of a game that everyone waited for breathlessly for years and when it came out, it was just godawful... About 3 years ago I think. Deus Ex?
