Sequels to the following movies are planned for 2005: Bond, Batman, Rush Hour, Star Wars, Die Hard, Duce Bigelow, Fast and the Furious, Hannibal, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mission Impossible, Miss Congeniality, Bridget Jones Diary, Cheech and Chong, and Zoro. No, I am not joking about any of these.

Bottom line, Hollywood doesn't have any original thought left. I thought the majors studios learned their lesson last year when so many sequels bombed. Guess not, because we’re up for another large helping of crap next year.

There was one thing good about that movie. The stunt where he jumped the bike over the exploding barn. The acting was horrible though. I don't even need to mention the plot. :laugh1:

and most of them will do well. Bond, Batman, Star Wars, Hannibal, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Pirates, and MI are can't miss projects. Cheech and Chong and Zoro I wouldnt say are sequels. C&C are just making another movie. which will do well. and Zoro is just another in the countless versions.

Most of these are summer tentpole blockbusters. That means that they were greenlighted and probably already shot and into the edit before the big collapse last year (which wasnt as bad as ppl said). It will take a few years for the sequels to weed out since some have been shot 3 or 4 years ago (MI). and some are still in production for release in 2007 & 2008

Why should they be creative and make something new when they can sell their same old rehashed bullshit to a juvenile public(?).

It's true, the only reason they make this crap is because there is an audience for it. A really big audience. If you want it to change, don't go watch it, they'll get the hint eventually.

I keep thinking that it will change - I have not been in a theater since the X-Files movie - but I still keep seeing the same crap. At least it makes me feel good to not pay $12....
