    No quick Free agent fixes.

That was the mantra in the off-season. If I remember, everyone was much more worried about our secondary. And I also remember that Jeffers was going to be better.

I did wish we'd signed Willie Jackson. And Antonio Freeman. It seems like I remember rumblings that we'd tried to sign them, but they chose other teams. I'd imagine the same with Carter.

Nope. No quick fixes. Jackson and to a lesser degree Freeman wouldn't be quick, I'd expect either to be around a few years. But I was hoping for draft depth. Now we've gotta burn a #1 pick and probably another midround pick to make up for it.

Yep. Seems like some guys dropped, too.

I wonder if Williamson felt like Bright was the guy, or if they felt good about that guy Tolhurst that's on IR. We gave him the biggest bonus of all rookie FA.

I think this issue had to have been addressed, and everything that they wanted to work out just didn't.

You could say the same about QB.

    And now for plan 'B'!

yep. I really liked Josh Reed. I thought Bryant and Walker were steals where they went. Ron Johnson wouldn't have been bad in 4. hell there were guys on down there. I can see a way to justify the move to not get a guy there but we've only really put a little into offensive skill. The way it's being run, I dunno how much impact it'll make until we just have so much talent it makes up for lacking agressiveness.

I agree, we're almost going to have to take 2 WR's in next year's draft. Dang, still a lot of holes to fill it would seem and only 8 picks to work with.

and only 3 of those 8 picks will most likely ever turn into to something decent. 2004 baby! Watch out for the Panthers:rolleyes:

It'd been nice to have another second round pick to take Reed or Bryant. Had Randlel El dropped to the third, I'm thinking we would have taken him. There were lots of rumors round draft day that we liked him.

In round 2, we really had to have a back, as Foster's injury amply shows.

  8. this guy is slow, teams are for the most part laughing at the panther's ability to beat them deep. why not bring bright back? yeah, he dropped some balls but so has everyone else.
