    It's better.

No quick fix. Build through draft. Develop young guys.

    We've never done it.

  4. Plus, Hilton was the 3rd string QB on his PeeWee League team. We're getting depth, youth and versatility!

Chris Carter ain't no Jerry Rice, but won't do bad in Miami, but won't light it up either. He's about 3 rough games away from permanent retirement. He should stay on HBO.

Why the fuck would he even want to come here when there ain't nobody to throw to him, and really not another legit reciever to take pressure off of him. I'm sure even if we asked and made a higher offer, he'd tell us "no thanks". He wants to win, and he wouldn't do that here.
If He wanted to play with losers, he'd have stayed in Minn.:p

Carter was a good move for them. A move like that would have made sense when we were in 2000's situation. Right now, there's no reason at all for Carter to be coming here. But point made, Bear, other teams are makng positive moves and we're still making up for moves we didn't make in June.

I think in June we were more hopeful about Jeffers.

I think in April (draft) we were, too.

We were hoping between four players that we could get two starters. We got one. Bad break.

Either way, I really did think some depth would have been a good idea.
