I have seen that too. I never said Sendek was God or anything...he can improve, but so can K, Roy, Gary Williams...all of em.

 

Yep. Here's one Dook fan who wished K didn't leave it up to his players against UConn in 99 and UK in 98. He also wishes K would develop a bench for the first time since 1999. No coach is perfect, very few are legendary. Remember you can't win the tourney without getting in, and for a damn long time there State wasn't geting in.

 

As Did V and ALOT of coaches. I've probably watched closer these last few years at Coaches and How they do things, because Herb Gets Freakin picked apart for EVERYTHING. If It Works, Its All the Players(Hodge Vs UCONN, Bennerman vs Clemson this year are examples) If It Doesn't the Herb is a dunce.

Well I personally haven't noticed a great deal of difference in end of game situations, with State as opposed to everybody else in the country. Oh And MELTDOWNS and Scoring droughts. Herb didn't invent those either, Believe me.

I'm convinced if Herb wins the national championship on a play like V did. A Long desperation shot thats ends in a dunk, somebody would be bitching because thats the best play Herb Could draw up after taking a T.O. (Like V Did)

 

Now those idiots are hoping Oklahoma hires him. So which is it? Is he so bad that another coach is needed, or is he good enough to be hired by another major college?

Herb Goes to Oklahoma, makes the tourney and a possible run......We get Name whomever and miss the tourney and take a few steps back. I Love NC State But THAT would be funny in a way, and it could happen

Same Here. to classy a guy though. In A perfect world he will flip them off as ASU makes an unlikely George Mason run thru the tourney next year.


Provided this is going to happen, How short of a leash will the new guy have?? I Mean We've been in 5 tourneys in a row?? Recruiting has picked up a great deal, Academics are in order. Everything is in position.

We Will see how long it takes now. If Herb Does leave I say Thank You. You have left a program a Zillion Times better than you found it, under constant harrasement from about year 4. Had to be tough. The New guy will have a tough job also.. Luck to whomever he is. He Will need it.
