Believe me Its tough sometimes. But it seems that we are all lumped in together.

Honest to Goodness I was at The NC State- S.Miss game last year and a guy in our section was sooooooo pissed at Amato I swear he didn't even cheer when State scored the go ahead touchdown. Like I said They Ain't Happy unless they are firing somebody

Remember That Todd Turner, FIRE HIM and Make Les The AD. FIRE LES He'll never replace Herb, Fire Ocain, Fire Ted Cain OC under Ocain, Fire Anthony Avent (Baseball coach until he turned it around) Fire Marty Galbrieth, former Pack OC, Fire Noel Mazzone, Fire Chuck Amato, Fire Lee Fowler, Fire the Chancellor FIRE FIRE FIRE. Good Gosh. Not even going to mention Poor Jay Davis and the way the BOO's Reigned down on him in his 2nd game in his college career.

math and stick know the score. I get being frustrated--totally get it. but wanting to run a guy who turned the program from nothign into something is beyond me.

Again, if Herb starts to backslide, then talk about it, but until then, get supporting and push for greatness. I do't see it backsliding until Herb just gives up and leaves.

Haha, one thing I don't miss about the Buzz. I know you know what I'm talking about there Mike. I can't imagine how frustrating it was to do a call-in show sometimes up there.

just like tryin to post on that board over there. Everyone is an expert because of the way "it used to be at NC State." Thing is, it used to be that way back in the friggin 50's, and they are still shining Everett Case's statue. If the game was still a 50's style game, NC State fans would be happy with it, dontcha think?

You can't blame them for wanting the world, but people don't realize what V (rest in peace) did to that program. While at the time I thought Les was a good hire, clearly he wasn't the man either. Combine that with being in the middle of college basketball heaven, and it's a tough situation. State is on the right track as you said, 5 straight tourneys. A whole LOT of schools would kill for that. Hell, everyone in the ACC except for Duke/UNC/Maryland would trade what they have for that. Hell, if it wasn't for a colossal meltdown Sendek would be able to throw in an ACC Championship in there as well.

I hate to say it, because it was an awesome achievement, but that 83 championship gave a lot of State fans the wrong idea about their status. I don't blame them for wanting more, but getting rid of Sendek isn't going to be the answer to their problems.

    :agreed:

V did great things for them with the title, but there was so much going on behind the scenes (from the stories I have heard from those that were there covering the team back then), that Les' job was to clean it up, get the academics straight and try to win games. In that order. Herb inherited a squeaky clean program, and was charged to win games. He's done that....now it is on Herb to get deep into the tourney, but WP Nation (or at least splinter cells of anti-Herbies) doesn't seem to want to let him do it.

I like Herb. Hes a good guy and a solid coach. I wouldn't blame him if he ever decided to leave, but I can't see him doing that. Quiet on the outside, but as intense a competitor as I've seen.

    Prof, yeah...well..

Yeah, it was pretty bad. Gave me hope Maryland would do the same thing the next year.

But Klempsun would kill for a colossal meltdown lol

my only problem with herb is when shit gets close at the end of a game, he doesnt seem to do much coaching, it's like he just leaves it up to the players to make win/loss decisions...
