Speaking as a UNC fan, about the best thing that could happen for me is to see State fire Herb.

Speaking as an ACC fan who actually likes it to be considered to be the best and deepest conference in the country, it would be one of the worst things that could happen.

Somebody ask those morons two questions for me. Who would they get to replace Herb and what was the last halfway decent coach that the Pack didn't run off?

Didn't Rick Barnes want to return to North Carolina and Coach in the ACC? I know he'd be an idiot to leave Texas, but I could see State going after some good coaches at the mid-major level. I don't think Herb should be fired, but they have some pretty good recruits coming in. They also lose Bennerman, Atsur, Brackman (to baseball), and Evtimov. Those recruits better make an impact or Herb is gonna start having to deal with fireherbsendek.com sites.

Lets see If I can name some that I've read over there
Rick Barnes(Who Said before the State-Texas game that "He didn't appreciate the way Herb has been treated" He also said he has NO INTREST in Coming to NC State or coaching in the ACC again)

Derrick Whittenburg-Good One, One Poster said He Won a title at WAGNER and is "Turning around Fordham" HAHAHAHAHA

Nate McMillian...Don't know if a pro coach can win on tobbacco road.Maybe some have succeeded I don't know. Big, Big Chance and after Roy and K beats him a few times they will be eating their own, which I HATE!!

Bob Knight... Didn't he miss the freakin tourney this year....At Least Herb made it.

Mark Few- No guarantees in the ACC Better stay at Gonzaga

Jim Larranaga- Funny Took him 9 years to win a GAME in the NCAA's. Tobacco Road ain't George Mason, Sorry

Bradley Coach and Witchta St Coach--See Above under Laranagga. 20 miles from Duke and UNC is a Hard Hard way to make a living.

Thats just a few. Lets see keep a guy that has made the tourney 5 years in a row. Or Gamble and NOt even make the tourney like EIGHT teams in the ACC this year. I'll keep Herb Thank you

Also And I can't even come close to saying this on Packpride but NC State Made a Huge, Huge change as to the student athlete that they would allow into the basketball program in 1990. COMPLETE Turn around. It has been a long, long process, I agree. But I wouldn't trade 10 NCAA championships for the negative pub we had in the 80's. yea Yea we had some NCAA runs, but we also had the negative pub from ...sub 700 SAT's, Point shaving scandels, Golenbocks Book. (Yea Withchunt......Maybe, But you bring in shaddy characters......Prepare to get burned) etc etc.

Give Herb A Washburn and Shackleford Weems etc and It just might not have taken as long as it has. But Herb hasn't cut corners to compete with Duke and UNC and this is one LTR holder that appreciates that. He will succeed somewhere. Doing it right will make you successful. It might just take a little longer.

The PackPride population thinks that Fowler and NCSU aren't dedicated to winning championships, as if people get into the college athletics business for other reasons. Therefore NCSU keeps Herb for the primary object of being mediocre. Which is all very ironic, because it's more important for them to win 2 games a year against Carolina than to have a good overall program, because they want to finally be able to rub wins in the faces of all their pro-Carolina colleagues in the workplace.

They worship Rick Barnes, but not really for his ability to coach, or what he's done (and NOT done) at Texas. They worship him mostly because he got in Dean Smith's grill during a game.

They post all kinds of links to articles over there, but they don't pay attention to the details about Sendek. They are convinced that he is a quiet, emotionally flat-lined coach with zero personality. Yet he brings in all these really good players who do nothing but stick up for him with the media.

Don't get me started on what they think about Amato...

Herb is a good coach but it's hard to get ACC talent to play in that system.

Yep......right on da money Math.....I'm too tired tonight to tell all these folks why they are fvrckn idiots for condemning the anti-Sendek crowd, but I'll be back.....However, it's not really a Sendek problem, it's a Fowler / NCSU Athletic Program problem.....mediocrity is not in my vocabulary,,,we need to move on.......yawn.......
