It seems as if all the analysts, both online at ESPN and SI, and those covering the weekend games, all agree about the SEC being overrated.

All the analysts? Find me some quotes or something, Mr.Football.

I understand why people who are SEC homers would want to believe otherwise, but the only evidence you need for the league being down is to watch one of the games. They're ugly.

You must have missed that UVA/UNC game. I would say something about the others but that was the only acc game shown on TV. All the rest were the overrated teams.

I understand that your "job" on here is to be the bitch, but you should really attempt to pay attention once in a while. I already posted this link in one of the other threads discussing the SEC: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/stewart_mandel/10/09/weekend.rewind/index.html

And regarding the UNC-Virginia game, there were only two turnovers and eight penalties. Of the SEC match-ups this weekend, only the LSU-Auburn game had less. The UNC-Virginia contest was a lot of good defense, only minus the ugly mistakes in the Tenn-Alabama match-up.

It is amazing how DaveW is owning Collin with one sentence responses. Meanwhile collin writes three paragraphs of babble that he can't back up. Very nice DW.

If only wishing made it so, Trace. Of course, if your wishes came true, you wouldn't be living in a three-room trailer, constantly waffling over whether or not to kill yourself and end the total uselessness you call a life. :xyzthumbs

UT is incredibly mediocre (by UT standards) - offense sucks, defense is solid except for secondary, especially with Allen hurt, but if they played UVA, all that would be left of the Wahoos would be a giant bloodstain on the field. UT would beat the absolute shit out of them. And I'm partial to the Cavs having grown up a fan.

Don't misunderstand Collin. A down year for UT is a good year for everyone in the ACC except FSU, VaTech and Miami. Vols will probably finish the season 8-4, winning the Cirtus Bowl.

And I just ran your comment by my buddy who is a diehard Hokie fan and a football encyclopedia. He think you're being ridiculous. The ACC is just plain bad beyond the big 3.

    Yet again:
    Georgia Tech beat Auburn convincingly.
Clemson beat Texas A&M (5-2, with only losses to Clemson and Colorado)
    UNC beat Utah.

Boston College hasn't really been tested yet, but they look better on the field than any SEC team aside from Georgia. Hell, even the SEC homers in this thread already conceded that the ACC's middle teams are better than the SEC's middle teams, so your diehard Hokie friend is a certified dumbass. And let's not forget that Tennessee was almost beaten by 3-4 UAB (which gives them something in common with Virginia, who almost lost to Syracuse).
