i have seen in the past your comments concerning t.j. duckett, and at least "luke warm" interest in same, provided his draft position was appropriate. now i see he has entered the scene with a 4.37 40 time, and benched 225lbs. 25 times. i was wondering, how high will he go now? and would it be crazy to consider him at #2? i personally like peppers. lord knows we have an abundance of def. linemen:)

also, i've asked this before, but is anyone taking a look at patterson (peterson?) from georgia southern? i was impressed with him in college. maybe he can be attained on the cheap. thanks.

I don't see Duckett falling out of the top 15. Top 5 is a reach, but if we want to trade down a bit, he's an option. Depends on who is availible. I like the DTs.

IMO, Green still should not fall very much either. He's still a first rounder.

I'd say that with his time and his Wonderlic he's probably the first back taken.

Green lifted 27. His 40 wasn't as good, and is slightly smaller, but he plays fast in the hole. He'll follow not far behind.

Peterson should go first day. Where? Depends on whether or not someone reaches for a back or end.

Do most teams take the Wonderlic tests seriously?

    What is a Wonderlic test?

I don't know what the test is based on but it pretty much tells you how smart a player is. But I never really knew how the test is conducted.

The key position for it is at CB, QB, and OT, as it's said in the inner workings of the league. The wonderlic isn't a tell-all but if a guy scores like a 4 (Reinard Wilson) or a 3 (Troy Davis) then they're often looked down upon. Will Duckett get picked over Green because Duckett scored a 33 and Green a 16? Seriously doubt it. That often works with 40 times, but personality tests and the Wonderlic are just ways of getting a feel for a player. It's rarely used as a major enhancement or detriment to the player.

In Duckett's case though it may help, even still. He's not terribly experienced as a back, and doesn't have the great instincts yet. But he's workable smart, very smart actually by these standards, and that suggests ability to learn what he doesn't have.
