    I agree. Humans want to know why. But in the attempt to create an answer to that question, do you seriously expect them to create on that only causes more questions?

    My God Is Real

    Of course the supernatural is fantastic. That's its very definition -- 'beyond the natural' -- and the world we have the ability to see, feel, hear, touch, taste, and smell is almost completely physical. One does have to open his or her mind wide enough to at least consider the possibility of the supernatural to look at the evidence objectively. A supernatural God or gods -- by any name -- will not fit into a physics box.

    Really? Apparently not. The basic ethical components are virtually identical. How to live in society. How to treat one another. To me that is the meat of any religion. The heartwood, to follow up on your anaolgy.
    Some folks become some blinded by the leaves they fail to see the roots are the same.
