What are your thoughts on Bunting? It seems to me that he has done a pretty good job of righting the ship after the Torbush disaster.

He also seems to have gotten his legs under him in recruiting, and he always has been able to improve guys once they got to the Hill.

You think that we are getting back to the days where Carolina can be consistently good?

No, but as long as we aren't bad, I'm satisfied. We have too small of a national profile to recruit outside of this region (which is odd considering how many Tar Heels have gone on to play in the NFL), and there is too much competition within N.C. to consistently build a winner from that alone. I do like Bunting, though. He's a tough guy who keeps his team together and doesn't crack under pressure, and he also seems like a pretty good character man as well. As long as his teams continue to play hard and represent the university well on and off the field, I'm cool with him even if we don't get back to where we were under Mack.

And as far as the recruiting class this year goes, remember that we were rated top 25 mostly because we brought in so many 3 star guys. We just had more scholarships than just about everyone else, but we didn't land many 4 star guys and I'm not aware of us getting any 5 stars at all. So basically we got rated because of quantity and not quality, but the good news is that bringing in so many players should keep us competitive.
