The actor was sick that day and couldn't attend the photo shoot.

But it has been reported that one of the main characters will not return next season, and D.L. has been absent from 2 or 3 big media events...in fact, I don't believe he has even been to one of them. So I bet he's a goner.

He was either sick or he was having one of his legs amputated. Can't remember.

I'm surprised that people didn't mention before that it's foolish to look for plot consistency from Heroes. It's clear that the series started out as a premise and they're frantically trying to build stories as they go along. This isn't something like Lost where the creators had an idea of how they wanted to do everything for the next however many seasons. The Heroes writers just have some vague notion of what is supposed to happen and then try to fill in the rest, which means leaving massive holes in practically every episode.

So basically if you like the show, just enjoy it and don't look to explain things because there are no reasonable explanations. Personally I don't like the show because I can't stop noticing all the ridiculous inconsistencies (plus the acting is awful), and I'm annoyed that it gets critical acclaim (I think the only reason it does is because so much of TV today is absolute shit). Actually I do like Hiro, but it seems like everyone does.

Actually you're pretty far off base. Lost started as a premise and it seems like they are trying to plug holes. Heroes on the other hand is pretty solid in the writing department, I can only think of 2 plot holes in it so far. Or rather two things that I could get the answer to if I just looked harder. Heroes is pretty solid. Great writing. Great story.

Really what I wanted to say, without sounding rude, is this...your assessment is fucking retarded and you wouldn't know a good story if it came up and fucked you in the ass.

Might have been a scheduled lobotomy. Sometimes you just can't get it all done.
