Heres hoping for an ass kicking

I hope VT beats the living shit out of Carolina. If UNC manages to pull off a victory, the pro Bunting crowd will have something to wave around saying, "here, he doesn't really suck." After barely managing to beat one of the worst teams in D1 in Duke, and basically stuck in mediocrity for 5 years, it's time for a change.

They played poorly against Duke today, no question, but Carolina was bowl eligible last season against the toughest schedule in the history of college football, and this year will probably fall just short of bowl eligibility in what is again one of the toughest schedules in the country. I don't think that's bad at all.

 

Win or lose Bunting will be back for the next couple of years. Beating Va Tech would be a great thing for UNC football.

WTF?? UNC lost like its whole starting D-line. How else would you expect them to play?

 

I'm tired of the schedule being used as an excuse. I don't expect the team to go undefeated with that schedule, but good teams do not get smoked by Louisville 63-14. They don't lose to mediocre Maryland teams. And they definately don't let it go down to the wire against one of the worst teams in all of football in Duke. 6-5, maybe even 7-4 and the K-Y Jelly bowl (or whatever shit bowl they are handing out to 4th place finishers) is the absolute best you can hope for out of Bunting. I'm sick of a reputable school in UNC not even appear to be TRYING with their football team, certainly not to the extent they are trying with their basketball team. When the basketball team started going downhill under DOH, they went out and bought the arguably the best coach on the market in Williams. UNC could've done the same thing with a Spurrier or Urban Meyer, but chose to remain in mediocrity for a while. This is why I hope for a blowout. If Bunting wins, for sure he'll be around a while longer.

 

The alumni who shell out the bucks obviously don't care about football as much.

 

Its sad too. I used to care a lot about UNC football. Until I grew up and realized that mediocrity is about the best I can hope for.

Shit like yesterday is unacceptable.

 

Did you people not notice the whole damned D-Line get injured?? Shit maybe I'm the only one here that actually listened to the game and a buncha people are whining about a box score to a game that they have no damned clue as to what happened.
