No it isn't. It's definitely easier to find an option at QB than it is to find another quality OC, in no small part because of free agency.

Look, the play-calling has been predictable, but it was predictable in '03 when we went to the Super Bowl and it was predictable last year when we finished 8th in points and made the NFC Championship. The biggest difference between '05 and '06 was Jake Delhomme.

Man I am out of touch for a day or two and I miss the big news! I am glad to see this happen. I hope we get someone good to replace him. Our offense has not been very good under Fox. We have had some individual players have great seasons but we have never had an offense that really performed well.

I am a lot more interested in the off season now. They will need to move pretty quickly to fill the hole. The coach we hire will have a big impact on what we do in free agency and the draft.

Personal prediction: As far as the search for replacement coaches goes, I won't be at all surprised if the speculation about what coaches the team potentially could hire turns out to be a lot more exciting than who they actually do hire.

I thought Maser was a pretty well respected OL coach?

the blame for the O line trouble belongs to Fox and the front office. Maser and whoever his replacement is going to be can only work with what they're given.

he was. Of course, so was Boudreau. In my mind, the best we've had was Jim McNally, who hadn't deserved the firing most of the rest of the offensive staff got.

Regardless of who the next OL coach is, I'm kind of hoping we move away from the "smart, mobile, versatile" model and stock the line with big ugly road graders in the future.

Since Skipper is currently the Assistant Head Coach, should he get the OC job is there another coach on the staff that we would want to give the Ass. Head coach title to to keep from leaving as easily. Not that we would keep one from moving up and on
