help with a desktop

    i need help with a dell gx 270 i turn it on and it just says start window normally or in safe mode, after i say yes the monitor turns off but the computer stays on, i checked the power supply and the monitor any one know

    could be the video card. You say the PC is one. What color is the light on the power button yellow or green?

    Also you could've set your resolution too high and the monitor can't handle it.
