Last night I wasn't paying attention while walking to my room with the lights off, and I stubbed my toe SOOO hard on the coffee table. This was the worst i'd ever felt it.

I layed down for a while to see if it would ease like usual, but the pain wouldn't go away. Finally I fell asleep, and now that I am awake it still hurts and I can't bend it.

Today is our last show in the musical, and I can't afford to go to the emergency to find out if it's broke or not. Does anyone have any experience with this. What is the proper procedure, will I be okay if I ignore the pain and perform in the musical today.

There's not really anything they can do for a broken toe. I'd take some ibuprofen throughout the day and stay off of it as much as possible before your final performance.

When I've had broken toes in the past, here's what I've done. Take a deep breath and try and move it in alignment with the bone. Then tape it together with the other toes. Depending on how big your toes are, you could even make a splint. Really, that's what an A&E place is going to do. Good luck chica!

you'll live. broken toes are a nuisance at most. i broke 3 playing basketball once, that was a very uncomfortable week. i have broken both big toes a couple time, usually kicking someone or something. and the pinky toes, hell they are just a pain in the ass, broke them lots of times. sports seem to be bad when barefoot lol. once you break one they say you have a higher chance of doing it again since you weakened the bone.

just wear stiff shoes (if you can) so the toes remain as straight as possible. grin and bare it the pain is minimal.

LOOSELY buddy-tape it to the one next to it. It's all the ER would do even if it was broke.
