Sorry State fans. Rivers is a good player, but the award is going to one of these three. I think it will be a close race between them, very hard to choose.

Jason White - Quarterback of the best team and best offense. Nice story coming back from the ripped knee.

Eli Manning - Will be starting for some NFL team a year from now. Ole Miss wouldn't even have a winning record without him, with him they are undefeated in the SEC. If he beats LSU he might get my vote (if I had one). But for right now....

Larry Fitzgerald - Sorry Roy Williams. This guy is the real deal. Antithesis of the modern player. All game, no ego. Catches everything thrown in his general direction. Great player. Damn.

If he doesn't win, I'll be damned...

If Rivers was in BCS contention then he would be...

I remember when you asked this question earlier in the year Piper. Back then I said White - and he'll probably win.

But I would vote for Fitzgerald. I am glad people are finding out just how good he is. I've seen teams triple him and he still makes catches. If Pitt wasn't so sorry on D he'd be getting more play because they'd be a BCS player. I hope he goes for 500 yards against Miami.

I think White will win. Manning may help his chances if he torches an awesome LSU defense on National TV. Maybe the Heisman voters vote for Eli since Payton got robbed.

He's the shizzle. Bo Jackson good. Give up your rent money to see him play good.

I want a Panthers Fitzgerald jersey, and I don't mean Pitt, dammit.

But I'm also with Dave in that Eli is one big game away from doing what he's bro could not.

Side note. How the hell does WVU play so well the end of last year, play so well the last three weeks, and yet lose to the likes of Cincinatti in between?

Fitzgearld is the best player in college football period. He should win.

White is good but his receivers make him WAY better than he really is because they are playmakers.

You are not alone in asking that question. There are a lot of folks scratching their heads. Almost all of their losses have some kind of qualifier. I still think if they hadn't blitzed on 4th down late in the Miami game they win.

The Cinci game was a comedy of errors that included (I think) 5 or 6 fumbles or TO's for each team. I'd have to look that up. But it was raining and that game was just a mess.

Wisconsin is a different story. Wiscy knocked Marshall out of that game and WVU had little chance after that with it being the first game and all. They hung tough for a while, but eventually Wiscy wore them down and beat them by a TD. WVU led most of that game though. Probably should have won - but I'm glad they didn't. I had Wiscy.

The game at Maryland was just an ass whooping.

I hope WVU makes a BCS bowl now. I'll take any team that plays them unless it ends up being TCU.
