    Why do you think he's overated? He was hyped before his freshman year, came in and backed it up.

    Because bama recruited him to play linebacker and he went elsewhere.

    rivers would have never sniffed the field at qb for alabama.

    You make it sound like they have had someone better, which they obviously havn't. While I like to keep a level head about the hype he gets I put more faith in the general consensus than one disgruntled Alabama fan.

    they did have someone better when he was being recruited. now Brodie croyle is at Alabama.

    NC State was a mediocre team when Rivers was a freshman. They've come a long way in 4 years.

    nc state is a good team now but rememver they were only 5-3 in the acc last year. those wins against east tenn state, navy, etc don't fool me. nc state isn't a top ten team. top 20, but not top 10 at all.

    i know i'll catch hell for that one but that's how i see 'um.
