unc led for much of the way although the game was tight. miami gained a slight edge in the second half but the heels pulled even and then away down the stretch by hitting some clutch baskets as the canes went ice cold. good road win against the 4th place team in the acc. a tough road still lies ahead for our boys in blue however. this win was badly needed.

    Heels will finish

I say Carolina will finish 10-6 in ACC, which is alot better than where they were predicted to finish. Roy Williams should be coach of the year. Go Heels

games left for UNC 15-6 (6-4)

    GT @ home
    Wake @ Wake
    NC State @ NC State
    Maryland @ home
    UVA @ home
    Duke @ Duke
    ACC Tourny @ Greensboro

3-3 down the stretch gets us in unless maybe a terrible showing in the conference tourny sways the selection committee the other way. gotta beat GT and Wake to take some of the pressure off, that would rock.

indeed. other coaches have done well, but with all the pressure and people whispering about 8-20, he's really outdone himself.

you mean the FORMER fourth place team. The Heels occupy that spot now. Amazing that the Heels still have a good shot at finishing second in the conference. Big game at State coming up soon. Being in the top four will be huge since it would mean an extra days rest at the ACC tourney.

Amazing how well this team, full of freshmen plays on the road. Four road ACC wins already. Who knows - maybe they do have a shot at dook.

Miami has a decent point guard and 2 great wings, but their interior players are awful. I don't see how they are 5th in the conference. I don't think anyone thought they would go 8-20 like they did with Do. He had absolutely no recruits that year and the players that were there were underachievers. It's pretty hard to only win 8 games. At least the Heels are pulling up the conference RPI. The bottom of the ACC is looking pretty bad right now. That was a big win by the Heels. Thought that Miami would beat them in Miami, but I think coming off that loss gave them extra motivation.

Big win for the heels.I think next 6game at worst we should go 3-3 if that happen we will need to win one game in the acc Tourny and we are 100% in if we can go 5-1 or 4-2 We are 100% in and with a win or 2 in the acc Tourny with can be a 6 or even a 5 seed in the NCAA Tourny i siad before the start of the season that the heels can make it to the sweet 16 and with the way they are playing as of late they can make it to the sweet16

You guys make me laugh. Not sure what pissed the pollsters off but UNC will be in the tourny. Maybe not far but in. What happens if the low seed UNC plays the top seed Duke=Great CBB.
