Looks like Spurrier is coming back to Chapel Hill. Wonder if he'll take another team photo under the scoreboard??

    Associated Press

COLUMBIA, S.C. - South Carolina and North Carolina will renew their football rivalry in 2007, South Carolina athletic director Eric Hyman said Thursday.

The two schools have agreed to play in Chapel Hill, N.C., on Oct. 13, 2007, with a second game here on Sept. 18, 2010, Hyman said.

"It is a natural rivalry that should generate a lot of interest," Hyman said.

There had been a suggestion to play at a neutral site, but it was decided to play on a home-and-home basis, he said.

North Carolina holds a 34-16-4 advantage in the series, which began in 1903. The Tar Heels won the last game, 21-17, at Chapel Hill in 1991.

"We think it will be an excellent game for both schools," said Gamecocks' coach Steve Spurrier.

    You mean both?

I'm glad it's not in Charlotte. Both campuses deserve this game.

Yeah, let them play it home and home...it'll be a much better atmosphere both times.

All one has to do is look at their (UNC) schedule to realize that is a crock of shit.

I think it's a geography thing. If there were two teams closer in proximity to Charlotte these games would be better. Of course, the teams could be better most of the time, too....
