Certainly making the case for all the "little guys" getting a shot at the title.

 

they didn't matchup with a good SEC team, so what. Lots of teams can't, remember..SEC speed??? Only morons who hate the BCS even harped on Hawaii being an undefeated national championship contender. They'll get a nice check from the game, and hopefully they can go out and get some damn defense.

They benefited from the same system that put OSU and LSU in the NC game, and the same system that had UGA in consideration even though they didn't even win or play in their conference championship. The only way they can keep the "little guys" from creeping up like the past few years is to change the formula, go to a playoff, or some other way they won't even do. If San Diego State or LA State climb up and deserve a BCS bid, they'll still get it.

I was chatting with some hawaiians in the Aloha Stadium parking lot after the ECU/Boise St. bowl game, and they all thought ECU players were big. When they said that, I knew they had no shot at beating a better SEC school. Oh well...

 

Got no problem with them earning an invite, just like Boise State, who aquitted themselves nicely last year as I remember.

But there are apparently some people who think winning the WAC or CUSA means as much as the BCS conferences.

 

I noticed Jimmy Johnson said "Man, those guys are small". Still glad Hawaii got a shot though. Hawaii earned it.

 

Their is no way they should have gotten that big paychek. Who did they beat? Another fine example of the BCS having one to many letters.

 

The offensive line was horrible. If they had been in the habit of doing more running, and been better at blocking 3 and 4 man rushes, they would have made a game of it.

Hawaii versus Illinois would have been a better match up for everyone.
