Okafor is next. He ain't ready for the max but he will get plenty of money.

speaking of money, we can argue over Carroll geting 26 million over 6 years but Steve Francis got traded to Portland and got a 30 million dollar buy out to not show up(for 2 years left on contract).lottery winners every year in the nba.

Awesome deal. If Felton develops and if Okafor stays healthy and if they add another low post presence then the Bobcats could really be pretty good over the next couple of years.

At least they took a few "ifs" off the board though. Richardson and Wallace make for a nice combo that makes them solid at the 2 and the 3.

Well I have to say it was nice while it lasted. All the drama we created over the bobcats for the last 10 days or so. Now that Wallace is signed.. I fear till the season starts there really wont be that buzz on the board.

I think making the playoffs isn't out of the question this year. Gotta take some type of step forward and they have done that every single year so far

Good point, no one cared much about them before the off season started. If this line up works and they start winning games then people will care this winter.

I doubt it. Speaking just from personal experience, roster construction is just fun for me regardless of the sport. For instance, I'm thinking of getting NCAA '08 even though I don't think it looks great just because I enjoy the recruiting portions and putting a roster together. Similarly, I'm interested in what the Bobcats do before the season, but I will undoubtedly watch fewer than three games, if any, and probably won't attend one. I can't say if other people feel like I do, but I just don't think that Charlotte's attendance problems are the result of their record.

yeah, i told someone during the draft that the draft was more interesting than the entire nba season. i think my interest has continued in the offseason just because the bobcats had so many questions to answer.

i agree with collin. i don't believe their attendance problems stem from their record either. there's a lot more to their problems than the fact that they didn't win much last year.
that said, winning cures an awful lot of ills.

If they win consistently for a couple of years I think fan interest will come around. I am certainly more interested in watching them play than I have ever been. I would not mind watching a game on TV right now. I did not get into the Hornets until they made the playoffs that first time but after watching them beat Boston I was hooked.
