yeah, certainly the first year situation has been a part of it. He's making decisions for the offense when he's never, ever done that before.

I think it's a matter of trying to salvage whatever they can out of the deal. He's now trade bait someone will want him and pay for him. Cutting gives the team nothing, Collins proved that. He's got a one game suspension, if JR needs more time to unload him I'm sure the mecklinburg county police will be sure to arrest him. It's all a matter of degree.

I'm afraid "nothing" is exactly what we are going to get for this 3rd round prick. With all of the decent to excellent talent coming out in next years draft at WR and all the solid FAs that might be available (who are not 5'9" with 8'9" bad attitudes) I don't see much interest in him.
I know that the cancerous Westbrooke got swooped up eventually. God I wish the Bengals would give us a pick for Stevaphone . . . even one of their 7th round picks would make me grin.)

Are you joking? Getting in a fight on the field is one thing. Beating the Hell out of a teammate in a meeting is another. I'm guessing Steve Smith proboaly sucker punched him also. Bright probably never saw the first punch coming and thats why he got he beat so bad. Steve Smith's locker would be empty right now if it were up to me. No, actually I would let him practice one more day and then cut him.

  5. You're right on the money, Bear.

Let Todd have a shot at him.

Evidently, we continue to have no leadership in the locker room. WHO is going to step-up and lead?

It doesn't have to be vocal - but teams have to be a "team". Smith is spoiled little jackoff, and evidently never had his ass kicked bad enough to grow-up. If he doesn't want to be part of a team, show him the door.

Jarrod Cooper wouldn't "ambush" him. He's get in his face, and let him know how things were going to be. I hope Bates would too. Anyone else on the team with testicles larger than raisins?

so now anyone think he's lost them?

If not, name four people that played to the gun like their lives (or like their jobs, for that matter) depended on it.

Brian Allen. He sprained his MCL and kept playing b/c he was the last LB.

Sauerbraun could make the list. Dont really count punters or kickers as guys who dog it.

  10. I was just going to say that it sure does make you miss the Coop!! Although Coop has had his own set of problems in the past, him being on the IR is hurting the team because of the intensity he shows on the playing field.

BTW, Coop's testicles are way larger than raisins in my dreams!
